Aims & Scope

Our Aims

The Journal of Advanced Periodontology & Implant Dentistry (JAPID) is the official publication of the Iranian Academy of Periodontology (IAP). As a specialized non-governmental organization (NGO), the IAP is dedicated to promoting oral health regionally and globally through a network of expertise, creativity, and innovation.

JAPID's primary mission is to serve this community by publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed research. We are committed to a Platinum Open Access model, ensuring that all published articles are freely and openly accessible to researchers, practitioners, and periodontists without financial barriers to acquiring or publishing knowledge.

Through our rigorous editorial process, we strive to advance the science and clinical practice of periodontology and implantology, fostering excellence and recognition within the global dental community.

Our Scope

JAPID welcomes original research, clinical studies, and systematic reviews dedicated to current and advanced topics in the field. Our specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Clinical Periodontics: Diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of periodontal diseases.
  • Oral Implantology: Surgical techniques, biomaterials, and long-term outcomes of dental implants.
  • Periodontal Biology: The biological, microbiological, and immunological aspects of periodontal and peri-implant tissues.
  • Systematic Reviews: Comprehensive analyses of current literature advancing evidence-based practice in periodontology and implant dentistry.
